சமீபத்தில் விசாகன் தேனி என்ற ஒரு முகநூல் நட்பின் பதிவில்தான் இந்தப் படத்தைப் பற்றிய தகவல்கள் அறிந்தேன்.

மகிழ்ச்சியான கணவன் மனைவியின் அறிமுகத்துடன் துவங்கும் படம், மனைவிக்கு குழந்தை பாக்கியம் இல்லை என்ற உண்மையை அவள் அறியத் துவங்கும் இடத்தில் அவர்களையும் படம் பார்ப்பவர்களையும் ஒரு வெறுமை கலந்த பயத்தைப் பற்றச் செய்கிறார் இயக்குனர். வாரிசுக்காக மகனை மறுமணம் செய்யச் சொல்லும் மாமியார், கையறு நிலைக் கணவன், இவர்கள் இருவரின் உணர்வையும் மதிக்கவேண்டிய கட்டாயத்தில் மனைவி. இதைச் சுற்றியான உணர்வு நிலையை வெளிப்படுத்தும் பாத்திரம்தான் லைலா. அவளின் கணவனுக்கு, லைலாவின் முழு ஒத்துழைப்புடனும், சம்மதத்துடனும் மறுமணம் நடக்கிறது. புதுமணத் தம்பதிகள் வீடு வருகிறார்கள், சம்பிரதாயங்கள் நடக்கிறது. இதையெல்லாம் தனியறையிலிருந்து பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்த லைலா, அதுவரையில் தம்முடைய கணவன் நம்மில் ஒருவனாகத் தொடர்வான் என்று தன் மனதளவில் பற்றியிருந்த நம்பிக்கையின் ஆணி வேர் சற்றே அசைந்து நகர்கிறது. பொங்கிஎழும் ஏமாற்றம் கலந்த சோகம், அழுகையாகப் பீறிட, தன்னுடைய தாயார் வீடு நோக்கி அங்கிருந்து வெளியேறுகிறாள்.
லைலாவின் அன்பின் மிகுதியுடனே, மறுமணம் செய்தவனின் வாழ்க்கை புது மனைவியுடன் பற்றுதலற்று தொடர்வதுதானே இயல்பு? ஒரு பெண் குழந்தை பெற்ற கையோடு புது மனைவி வேறு ஒருவரை கரம் பிடிக்கிறாள். மழலைச் செல்வத்துடன் தனிமையில் வாழ்ந்து வருகின்றான் லைலாவின் கணவன். ஒரு புத்தாண்டு கொண்டாட்டத்தின் போது, தன் முன்னாள் கணவனையும், ஒளிமிகுந்த கண்களையும், உலகிற்கே நம்பிக்கை ஏற்படுத்தும் புன்சிரிப்புடனும் இருக்கின்ற தன் கணவனுக்குப் பிறந்த நான்கு வயது பெண் குழந்தையும் காண்கிறாள் லைலா. தனிமையையும் சோகத்தையும் மட்டுமே பற்றிக்கொண்டிருந்த லைலாவின் இதழில் பல அர்த்தங்களைப் புரிய வைக்கின்ற புன்னகை பூக்கிறது. அந்தச் சிறு புன்னகையுடன் படம் நிறைவடைகிறது.
அந்தக் கடைசி வினாடிகள் மொத்தப்படத்தையுமே அழகாக்குகிறது.

Love Loves Coincidences
சமீபத்தில்தான் இந்தப்படம் பார்த்தேன். இது ஒரு துருக்கியப்படம்.
காதலை எத்தனையோ விதமாகச் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்கள். இப்படிக் கூட சொல்ல முடியுமா என்று யோசிக்க வைத்தபடம். ரொம்ப பிரம்மாண்டமில்லாமல் செயற்கைத் தனமில்லாமல் மிகவும் எதார்த்தமான காட்சியமைப்புகள், நடிப்பு, இசை என்று எல்லாமே மிகவும் அழகாக கோர்க்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன.
தமிழில் இதை ஞாபகப்படுத்துவது போல் சில படங்கள் வந்திருந்தாலும், இது ஒரு பெரிய தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்திய ஒரு சில படங்களில் இதுவும் ஒன்று.
நாயகன், நாயகி இருவருமே பிறந்தது முதல் இறக்கும்வரை இவர்களின் ஒவ்வொரு சந்திப்புமே எதிர்பாராத நிகழ்வாகவே அமைந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறது. ஆனால் அதைத் தாண்டி அவர்களுக்குள் ஏற்படும் ஒரு சந்திப்பு அவர்களின் வாழ்க்கையையே மாற்றுகிறது.
பொதுவாக ரசிகன் ஒரு படத்தைப் பார்ப்பதற்கும், ஒரு சினிமாக் கதாசிரியன் ஒரு படத்தைப் பார்ப்பதற்கும் சில வித்தியாசம் உண்டு. ஆனால் எந்தத் திரைப்படம் ஒரு சினிமாக் கதாசிரியனையும் ஒரு ரசிகனாக மாற்றி அவனைக் கதைக்குள் ஒன்ற வைக்கிறதோ, அது மிகவும் உன்னதமான படைப்பாகும் அந்த வகையில் இந்தப்படம் ஒரு உன்னதமான படைப்பு.

Synopsis
In 1948, as the government issued the communists’ eviction to the Jeju Island, the military invaded a calm and peaceful village. Running away from the military, the townsfolk get into the cave. They try to hide to survive but there seems no hope like the dark cave. As time goes by, people are suffering from severe cold and hunger staying in the cave.
One day, it still seems nothing changed. And a man who worries about his pigs at home, is trying to get back home to feed them but the rest strictly stop him. With nothing but frustration, people start fall apart debating if they should move to the higher mountain or just stay in the cave.

Strip away its scale and grandeur and Lawrence Of Arabia seems to be the kind of rags-to-riches tale that's two-a-shilling in cinema: an ordinary man shaking off mediocrity to answer the call of greatness. It's Rocky in Bedouin robes. Except, of course, it's much more than that. Over three-and-a-bit hours David Lean gives us a portrait of a man riddled with contradictions, awash with doubt and filled with enough hang-ups to give Freud a migraine. Through his fabled journey, Peter O'Toole's T.E. Lawrence somehow unites the Arab tribes and leads them stampeding through Aqaba and on the blood-stained path to nationhood. If 'El-Aurens' is complex enough to stand comparison with Charles Foster Kane or Michael Corleone, his co-star, the vast and magnificent Arabian desert, fully deserves second billing. Captured in all its widescreen sweep by Freddie Young's cameras and given voice by Maurice Jarre's stirring score, it's friend, enemy, solace and implacable observer all in one; an epic canvas on which Lean paints an epic picture.

In 1946, a banker named Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) is convicted of a double murder, even though he stubbornly proclaims his innocence. He's sentenced to a life term at the Shawshank State Prison in Maine, where another lifer, Ellis "Red" Redding (Morgan Freeman), picks him as the new recruit most likely to crack under the pressure. The ugly realities of prison life are quickly introduced to Andy: a corrupt warden (Bob Gunton), sadistic guards led by Capt. Byron Hadley (Clancy Brown), and inmates who are little better than animals, willing to use rape or beatings to insure their dominance. But Andy does not crack: he has the hope of the truly innocent, which (together with his smarts) allow him to prevail behind bars.
